F is for Fiona. Lady Fiona Stewart, daughter of the Laird Kintyre, Earl of Kintyre.
In THE DUKE'S DIVORCE, Fiona performs an act of kindness for the Duke of Cantin, but unfortunately it backfires. Forced to marry the pompous Duke, Fiona is treated less than the lady she is. When he proposes an annulment, it can't come fast enough for Fiona.
However, as the days tick by, Fiona changes her mind.
Alex, if I remember correctly, this one is for you.
ReplyDeleteI really love that hat.
ReplyDeleteIt seems to be everyone's favorite.
DeleteAnne: This blog is SO stunning. Everytime I see it, I gasp. This is definitely where you should hang out. and I hope your books are selling well?!
ReplyDeleteI've just scrolled through all your posts so far. I'm glad you did this theme, and as I said in a comment at your other blog, don't worry if you can't comment much on others. I can't either. I do try to keep touch with my best blogger friends, though.
I agree with Theresa. That is one stunning hat! And to have found such stunning pictures of your characters - well, I'm awestruck. I just want to find time now to read ALL of your books, as well as many others that from previews I know are excellent.
I hope you enjoy Easter weekend with your lovely daughter, and whomever else you choose to grace with your presence!

Thank you Ann. I can't wait to get my hands on Svetlana's story. I read a few excerpts and it looks fantastic.
DeleteI'd love to hear what you think of it when you do read it. Hope you're having a good weekend! Ann
DeleteHi Anne
ReplyDeleteThis is a great plan for the A to Z challenge. You've been picking actors and actresses that really bring your characters to life.
Thanks Elaine. I've been doing it ever since I started writing. It seems to help me "see" them more clearly. If that makes any sense.
DeleteI am loving getting to know your characters through YOUR eyes.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're enjoying it.
DeleteYou write a cast for the movies to capture. Great job, Roland
ReplyDeleteThanks, Roland. I'm just hoping I do them all justice.
DeleteYour characters and your story sound so fascinating. I'll have to read it as soon as I can. :)
ReplyDeleteOnly when you're not so busy.
DeleteShe works perfectly as someone who at first is seen as plain, but with a little attention becomes attractive! Yep, I can see her as Fiona! This really is fun Anne!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, she's definitely too young in the picture, but she does kind of remind me of the cover girl, so that's why I picked her.
DeleteFiona is a little fickle is she? I'm wondering, is she more intelligent than the guy she's marrying or has she reconsidered the monetary advantages of the arranged marriage? I love the hat in the photo.
ReplyDeleteInteresting series. BTW - Nice comment on my blog.
It's not that she's fickle, she's just confused about her husband. HE'S the one who's fickle.
DeleteWhat a great idea!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter :)
Thanks Carol. Happy Easter to you.
DeleteHas Fiona found more to like than dislike in the Duke? He has redeemed himself in her eyes - no, it's no good, I shall have to read the book:-)
ReplyDeleteThey both dislike each other enormously in the beginning. And then they warm to each other. BUT actions speak louder than words, and Robert (her husband) is a bit stupid when it comes to love.
DeleteFiona looks sexy :)===great theme for the challenge, Anne!

I don't know if she's actually sexy in 1811, but from all accounts of her husband's friends, she is stunningly beautiful.
DeleteOh Fiona! How intriguing!! Now I want to know why Fiona changed her mind at the last moment!! Wow! Take care
ReplyDeletex
Because her husband is a stupidhead, that's why. Some men just don't know how good they have it until it's gone.
DeleteHey, I know how good I have it and I'm never giving it up!
ReplyDeleteSorry I missed this, Anne. Way overwhelmed with the Challenge. I think I'm averaging over 150 blogs a day. I just might explode when this ends...
