The A-Z Challenge Letter B

B is for Bailey, or more formally, Gregory Francis Scott, the Earl of Bailey.

He is first found in THE LADY'S FATE, as a fake fiance for Lady Violet Flowers. He's a far flung relative to Lady Olivia and as no one can refuse any request of Lady O's, Rory comes down from Caithness in Scotland to save poor Lady Violet from ruin.

After Lady Violet finally weds her one true love, Rory finds his own adventure in THE EARL'S ENIGMA, when he meets Lady Rosamund Smith, a bluestocking with a secret that could blow the doors off of Rory's well -ordered life of academia.

    1. I think I knew you would. I also think it will be fun as we get along in the alphabet.

  3. Neat idea for the challenge! Oh, and I'm thrilled for you about getting your books into "real book" format. That's awesome news, and in short, my heart goes out to you for what you're going through with your parents. Hang in there, kiddo.

    1. Thanks Susan. The "real" books are a mighty challenge, that's for sure. And I'm hanging in. Not much else to do, and things do seem to be lightening up so it's not all bad these days.

    1. I know. I take great liberties with the movies. But it's how I have to "see" them to be able to "write" them.

  6. Like Linda said, I love the pictures you've found to illustrate your novels in your head ... and for us. Great job as always.

  8. Nice post about characters, it gives us a chance to see a little of your character's profile.

A secret that has that much power must mean possible blackmail or who did what when. . .hmmm.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, Anne!

  9. Nice. We had the same idea. I'm posting up blurbs of my writing, too.

It's a great way, and a great time, to introduce your work to the public.

  12. I like this. I like that he didn't end up with Violet, just because that's what I expected from the blurb :-)

    1. No, Rory gets his own challenge in his own book. Voilet never wavered from her love for Haverlane.

  13. Oh yay! Rory gets his own story (sorry, didn't meant to rhyme). This is a marvelous theme for A to Z.)

And I am so excited you're planning a trip to Disney! I remember after my trip there last fall you said Monster Child wanted to go, and it always makes me happy when a little girl's dreams come true. :)

    1. Thanks, Nicki. Yeah, I figured I'd wait until she's old enough to really appreciate it. And maybe I'll be in better shape to traipse around the park with her. Lots of walking!

    1. Oh, but Rory is soooo handsome in the book. He makes Violet wonder, at least for 2 minutes.
